Sunday morning 13th May. After breakfast at Borgio di Carpiano we packed our bags and left the province of Umbria for the 2 and half hour drive to Montalcino in the province of Tuscany. We were in for a shock though, from warm sunny weather in Umbria, we were actually swimming in the pool in Borgo, the weather had turned quite cold with a bitter wind running through the walled town of Montalcino. Good job we each brought a top coat and a sweat shirt with us. Anyway first thing to do was to check in at our quaint B&B Palazzina Cesira and to meet our hosts Roberto and Lucilla. It had a great location right in the heart of the walled town along the main drag
