Gubbio

Took a drive from the Borgo into Gubbio, a small wall hill top town about 10 miles away.

Had a great late morning/ afternoon there with lunch in a small Trattoria.

Enclosed in the valley across from the Borgo is a small cemetary. A nice trek up and down the track to reach it from the Borgo.

Harmony, the lovely doggie, named after the Harmony in Harmony Hall, Antigua. I remember him when he was a small puppy growing up in Antigua.

Umbria and Borgo di Carpiano

After two nights in Rome, we were going onto Borgo di Carpiano for four nights. The owners Ricardo & Marilisa Parisa are good friends of mine. They ran the best restaurant in Antigua for many years called Harmony Hall. They left in 2006 to start their new venture in Umbria, Borgo di Carpiano a 9 room agrotourismo bed and breakfast in the heart of the countryside about 10 miles from Gubbio. We had a truly wonderful time here, the location, food, vistas and the remarkable staff that looked after us so well. Below a link to there place with photos to follow.
